State-of-the-Art Equipment

We specialise in ophthalmic healthcare and have the latest state-of-the-art optical technology. This includes OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) and digital retinal imaging which enables us to detect all common eye conditions, as well as more serious ones such as glaucoma.
We were the first optician in Scotland to have the R800 digital phoropter. This allows us to refine your prescription to 0.01 of a dioptre and provide you with the most precise prescription available in the UK (all other methods are accurate to the nearest 0.25 dioptre).

Frames and Lenses

Our wide range of frames offers something for everyone, whether you prefer traditional styles or designer brands. If you haven’t visited us before, you’ll find our frames are competitively priced and generally cheaper than the chain stores.

We will spend time on the fit and styling to ensure you find the perfect frame. Of course if you are happy with your current frame we will gladly re-glaze this for you.

Our Visioffice X machine allows us to take bespoke, personalised measurements of individual frames as they sit on your face. It has multiple cameras to discern pupil position, wrap of the frame, distance from the front of your eyes, tilt angle of the frame and your dominant eye. This allows us to dispense top of the range Varilux X4D with AVA lenses; we are proud to be one of the opticians in Scotland to dispense these.

Orthokeratology and Contact Lenses

Orthokeratology or Ortho K, uses a custom-made Nocturnal™ lens that is worn overnight and taken out during the day. This lens reshapes the front of the eye overnight to correct short sight, so you can see all day without the need to wear any lenses or spectacles. We are the only practice to offer this in the Stirling area.

Never tried contact lenses? Ask for a free trial and demonstration when you book your regular eye exam.

Many people worry contact lenses are ‘not for them’ with the biggest stumbling points being worry about putting them in, taking them out and how they will feel. Virtually everyone is surprised at how comfortable contact lenses are and the freedom they offer, especially when playing sport or for special occasions where you would rather be glasses free.

Regular Check Ups

Everyone should have an eye examination at least once every two years and this is now fully funded by the NHS
