Orthokeratology
Stirling Optical are delighted to be able to offer our customers a revolutionary, precision technology - Orthokeratology. Orthokeratology or Ortho K, uses a custom-made Nocturnal™ lens that is worn overnight and taken out during the day.
This lens reshapes the front of the eye overnight to correct short sight, so you can see all day without the need to wear any lenses or spectacles. Please make an appointment to discuss suitability. We are the first to offer this service in the Stirling area.

Cost
- Initial cost for lenses and four appointments as detailed above, £199.
- Ongoing cost of £20 per month for aftercare, solution and annual replacement of lenses.
Fitting and wearing schedule
- Appointment 1 - Julie checks for suitability and accurately measures the contours of your eye
- Data is then used to precision engineer lenses for your requirements
- Appointment 2 - Lenses are fitted and an appointment is made for the following morning
- Appointment 3 - Eyes and lenses are thoroughly checked using the corneal topographer
- Appointment 4 - A week later a check-up ensures that customer is completely satisfied with the treatment
- Check-ups are then scheduled at similar intervals to those for normal contact lens users
